Beginners Raranga (flax weaving) Workshop
I studied Raranga at Te Wananga o Aotearoa in 2021 and 2023 receiving a diploma with excellence and now offer beginners weaving workshops.
The classes run 10am-2.30pm once a week for four weeks, limited to five people. Covering harvesting tikanga, tools for raranga, stripping and preparing whenu, taki tahi weave and how to make a kete konae as pictured.
